11:38 pm - alive?

I’ve been neglecting the blog as of late. This last week I’ve been working late to prepare from a visit from the upper Japanese management at work. It’s not so much preparing for the visit as we’re tying up a lot of loose ends in the project to get it into an operational state so that we can showcase it once they got here.

Outside of work I’ve been spending most of my time working on a device for the Xbox. Some of you may remember I wrote a tutorial on how to hardwire the DVD remote dongle into the Xbox, well I’m working on developing a completely plug and play solution that I can produce and re-sell. I’ve been working with several different groups on a few different projects and all of them have pretty much just fallen apart. No one I’ve met in my online communities has a shred of dedication compared to PDI people, I really miss a lot of that group, even the people I wasn’t very good friends with, I know I could always count on them to get shit done, or at least work themselves dead trying. So this new project I’m doing all by my lonesome. And I think if the other “group” project I’m working on continue the way they are I’m going to give a big middle finger to everyone else in the group and let them know what they can do with their lack of dedication/motivation.

Another thing that happened is a nearby strip mall burned down. You may have seen it on the news, or maybe I’m too far up in hicks-ville for news like that to reach the rest of you. In any case it was really depressing. Included in that strip mall was the Egg-cellent restaurant and the Galaxy Gym Which are the two places I spent most of my free time in high school. Now they’re just a pile of rubble. The police claim that there was “no foul play involved” however for me it seemed almost like they announced that before the fire was even completely out. It almost seems like they announced it so quickly that I have to believe that maybe there was something going on. There’s lots of other factors involved that point towards that as well, most of it however, is hear-say.
